This camp is for the aspiring young mountain biker, eager to hit the trails. Our fun, non-competitive program is focused on building bike handling skills and designed to meet each rider at their ability. The same skillset that makes you a better rider also keeps you safe. Your child will learn the skill and etiquette required to ride safely and efficiently, as well as learn about the unique history of the areas we will be riding. Camps will take place at a set location (local trail TBD week of camp) between Erie and Boulder. Targeted at kids with an intermediate to advanced skill level - kids should be comfortable riding on dirt/loose gravel climbing hills and have appropriate bike and equipment to do so. Example: bike with gears, hydration pack or multiple water bottle cages on bike, helmet, sunglasses, gloves, etc. An example itinerary may be, meet at Valmont Bike Park and work on cornering, balancing, riding over small rocks and green/blue trails, etc. In the case of extreme weather we will cancel practice, but it almost never happens. We do not provide make up days.
